The beginner series focuses on the foundations of the practice. You will learn the proper mechanics, alignment and mindful actions of the body for over 35 postures.  You will receive individualized attention to gain flexibility, strength and balance. The class is welcoming to beginners, but can also be helpful to experienced yogis seeking more refinement while building a strong yoga practice. Whether you’re new to yoga, rehabilitating from an injury, returning to practice after time away or just want to strengthen the core of your practice.

The series includes a yoga manual for beginners. All the postures are thoroughly explained and illustrated and have variations for beginner to more advanced. The book is spiral bound which will lay flat to easily follow directions for the postures. You may want to bring water and try not to come on a very full stomach. Mat rentals and water are available at the studio. Pre-registration required.
