Karen discovered her love for yoga during her college career at Boston University. Trying her first class on little more than a whim, she felt instantly hooked to the feeling of calm, challenging invigoration affecting the farthest reaches of her body and mind. As her yoga practice continued to enhance her life, Karen knew she wanted to share the beautiful gift of practice with others, enrolling in Dhyana Yoga 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (RYS).

Trained in Ashtanga-based Vinyasa yoga, Karen teaches a vigorous class designed to challenge the body and mind. Often noted for her bubbly personality and positive attitude, Karen strives to leave her students feeling uplifted and empowered. Karen believes in the importance of building a strong foundation in correct alignment, but also leaving room for play as a method of testing boundaries. As a writer by day, Karen’s goal is to infuse her practice with creative transitions, using the body to unlock the mind.
